Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed with us. By confirming an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Allergens and Ingredients
Our products may contain or come into contact with allergens including, but not limited to, wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts and soy.
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any allergy or dietary requirements before placing an order. We cannot guarantee that our products are completely free from allergens.
We accept no liability for any allergic reactions resulting from consumption of our products.
For best quality and freshness, cakes should be consumed within three (3) days of the event date.
2. Quotations
All quotations provided are valid for seven (7) days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
Prices are based on the size, design, decoration and complexity of the requested cake. Any additional design elements may affect the final price.
3. Orders and Design
All cakes are made to order based on the information provided by the customer.
Where a customer provides reference images, these are used as inspiration only. Exact replication of another cake maker’s design cannot be guaranteed.
Colours and finishes may vary slightly due to the nature of handmade products and ingredients used.
An order is only confirmed once availability has been agreed and the required deposit has been received.
4. Deposits and Payment
Celebration Cakes
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the order. The remaining balance must be paid prior to collection or delivery.
Wedding Cakes
A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking date.
- 50% of the total balance is payable six (6) weeks before the wedding.
- The remaining balance is due two (2) weeks before the event.
Failure to make payment by the specified deadlines may result in cancellation of the order.
Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
If a cake is produced in accordance with the agreed design and the customer decides not to accept the product, the deposit will not be refunded.
5. Changes to Orders
Requests to amend an order must be made as early as possible. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, this cannot be guaranteed once production has begun.
Design changes may result in additional charges.
6. Collection
Full payment must be received before the cake leaves our premises.
Customers must inspect the cake at the time of collection. Once the cake has been collected, responsibility for its safe transportation, handling and storage transfers to the customer.
If a third party collects the cake on your behalf, they may be required to confirm receipt of the cake in satisfactory condition.
We accept no liability for any damage occurring after the cake has left our premises.
7. Delivery
Delivery charges may apply depending on the location and size of the order.
Wedding cake orders include delivery and set-up within 20 miles of our premises. Additional mileage may incur further charges.
Once the cake has been delivered and accepted, responsibility for the cake transfers to the customer or venue representative.
If the agreed delivery location is unattended and contact cannot be made, the cake will be returned to our premises and must be collected by the customer.
8. Use of Images
We reserve the right to photograph our cakes and use these images for marketing, promotional and portfolio purposes, including on social media and our website.
9. Hire Equipment
Where stands, separators or other equipment are hired as part of an order, a refundable deposit may be required.
All hired items must be returned by the agreed date in good condition. Failure to return items, or returning them damaged, may result in part or all of the deposit being retained to cover repair or replacement costs.
10. Cancellations, Postponements and Refunds
Postponements
If an event is postponed, we will make reasonable efforts to transfer the booking to the new date, subject to availability.
Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable.
If the order is cancelled after full payment has been made:
- More than one month before the event: a refund will be issued minus the deposit and the cost of any materials already purchased.
- Less than seven (7) days before the event: no refund will be issued.
Refunds will be processed within twenty (20) days of confirmation of cancellation.
At our discretion, credit may be offered for future orders.
11. Force Majeure
In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil an order due to circumstances beyond our control (including illness, accident or other unforeseen events), any payments made will be refunded within seven (7) days.
